Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision and direction of the Legislative Analysis Section Supervisor (Administrator II), the incumbent is responsible for a variety of analytical, consultative, planning, and coordination duties relative to the Franchise Tax Board's (FTB) Legislative Program.  The incumbent works independently and is the department subject matter expert as it relates to identifying, tracking, and reporting on pending legislative matters that affect the programs administered by the FTB.  The incumbent works closely with stakeholders throughout the enterprise and across multiple State Agencies to facilitate and coordinate necessary responses. The incumbent will act as a project leader on complex studies, works on complex information technology systems and serves as the specialist performing complex analytical responsibilities and activities as it relates to the bill tracking software and technology systems used to track and report on pending legislation. The incumbent provides evaluation of budget processes and makes recommendations to management on a variety of budget and administrative issues.
