Job Description and Duties

This position is located in Sacramento at DMV Headquarters. 

Under the direction of the Assistant Deputy Director of Communication, The Social Media Specialist is responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and developing social media content on the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) social media platforms. This position within the Department's Office of Public Affairs will help document current and future campaigns and projects. The Social Media Specialist should be proficient with several social media platforms.

Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube) Snapchat is desirable. Basic knowledge of social media scheduling platforms (Sprout Social). No certificates or degrees required. Basic typing skills required. Proficient knowledge and basic knowledge of Microsoft office and Internet.
