If submitting your completed application packages by mail or in-person, you must include the following: 1) eligibility (list, transfer, reinstatement, SROA/Surplus, etc.), 2) JC 223593, 3) RPA 310-133 in the “Explanation Section” of the State Examination/Employment Application (STD. 678), and 4) an original signature. Electronic submittal of application package through CalCareers (https://www.calcareers.ca.gov/) is preferred.
Do not include any confidential information within your application package i.e. Social Security Number (SSN), birthdate, age, exam results/scores, Limited Examination Appointment Program (LEAP) status, disability information, etc.
Include unofficial transcripts and/or degrees within your application package if you are applying for a classification with an educational requirement on which you are basing your eligibility on. If hired, you may be required to provide official transcripts and/or original degree.
Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of a STD. 678. All applications must include: “to” and “from” dates (month/day/year); time base (full-time/part-time/number of hours per week/month); and civil service class titles where applicable.
