New to state civil services employees will be hired at the minimum of the salary range. Salaries do not reflect recent changes necessitated by the unanticipated budget shortfalls arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. **This is a Limited Term (LT) position for 12 months, which may be extended to a maximum of 24 months, or may become permanent.**

The Accounting and Procurement Analyst will perform a wide variety tasks and functions related to purchasing of goods, accounting, and reconciliation of expenses along with other necessary functions needed to ensure business and administrative needs are fulfilled. The position will serve as the subject matter expert for purchasing, accounting and departmental expense tracking. The position is responsible for working closely with a variety of departmental program staff to direct and facilitate the full range of fiscal functions needed to ensure continuity of operations for a small state agency.

Department Information

The California Workforce Development Board is the Governor’s agent for the development, oversight, and continuous improvement of California’s workforce investment system and the alignment of the education and workforce investment systems.  The State Board and its staff provide active ongoing policy analysis, technical assistance, and program evaluation to inform and shape state policy on the design of state workforce policies and their coordination with other relevant programs, including education and human service programs. The State Board, in consultation with Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) state plan partners, drafts the State Plan and serves as the broker, convener, facilitator, and matchmaker to bring the disparate elements of the state’s workforce, education, human services, and economic development programs into alignment through coordinated partnership.
