Job Description and Duties

Under direction of the Staff Service Manager (SSM) I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) produces, compiles, and maintains the training curricula and programmatic procedures for the California Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division’s Authorization & Certification Program (ACP). The AGPA will record, reconcile, and maintain the statutory authority reference list for access to state and federal Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) on behalf of the California Department of Justice (DOJ). The AGPA will provide training and perform outreach efforts to applicant agencies accessing CORI for noncriminal justice purposes, communicating mandatory federal guidelines.

The AGPA must have the ability to research, interpret, and provide written analysis on laws, rules, and regulations, use software applications to produce educational materials, train internal and external stakeholders, and produce technical materials to document the ACP's work processes. The AGPA may also assist program management with special projects. Travel may be required for this position.
