Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Community Awareness, Response, and Engagement (CARE) Deputy Director, the Staff Services Manager I serves as a nonsupervisory Department specialist on outreach and community engagement for CARE. The Specialist is responsible for identifying, establishing and cultivating cooperative relationships with community based programs, organizations, and community leaders, with a special focus on historically underrepresented stakeholders (including communities of color and faith-based communities) to strategically execute outreach initiatives. The Specialist will develop public education, resources, and awareness campaigns in conjunction with community organizations and leaders to support Attorney General initiatives and priorities, as well as participate in community events and meetings. They will provide opportunities for diverse voices to shape the Department’s activities. Regular travel within a specified geographic region in California required, with potential for occasional travel to outside regions.
