Job Description and Duties

As the state’s federally mandated Medicaid Fraud Control Unit (MFCU), the Division of Medi-Cal Fraud and Elder Abuse (DMFEA) works aggressively to investigate and prosecute fraudulent activities and the illegal diversion of health care resources from California’s most vulnerable citizens.

Under the general supervision of the Staff Services Manager I, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) performs technical and analytical work for a wide variety of business service functions necessary to support the Division. The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties: researching and analyzing information on vendors and other supply sources, preparing and processing work orders, service requests, and purchase requisitions for commodities and equipment; gathering and negotiating bids and quotes with vendors; providing oversight of all Division property by coordinating their receipt; coordinating, reviewing and reconciling monthly and quarterly carrier invoices, and analysis and updating of carrier billing plans consistent with appropriate staff usage.
