Job Description and Duties

Who are we looking for?

The Command and Control Applications Developer’s role is to design and develop code, test, analyze, and maintain new and existing software programs and applications. A successful candidate for this position will possess an innovative mix of skills in software development and business analysis. Design and implement solutions for departmental business needs, working in cross-functional teams. You are a proactive solution seeker that is customer service focused and able to work with a variety of business stakeholders and technical team members within a dynamic environment. You must be a self-starter and drive key processes from conception to completion. You will require proficiency and a deep understanding of navigating through the entire business analysis and software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

• Perform structured application programming using next generation software development tools and methodologies for programming and scripting to design, build and maintain web applications and websites using C#, JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, CSS, HTML, JAVA, XHTML, JSON, XML and frameworks .NET, NET Core, Angular, MVC, WCF and Web Services..
• Good understanding of common relational databases structures (Oracle and MySQL), and Structured Query Language (SQL) skills.
• Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS) concepts and spatial data. Utilize ESRI suite of GIS software (ArcPro, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcMap, ArcToolbox, ArcGIS Server, etc.), JavaScript, and python libraries for mapping, and manipulation of spatial data.
• Construct scalable GIS systems utilizing REST services to serve new dynamic projections, improve or automate standard and spatial data entry workflows.
• Responsible for the operation of writing, upgrading, and updating information with crystal reports.
