Job Description and Duties

Under the direct supervision of the Staff Services Manager II, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) independently performs a variety of analytical work focusing on budget analysis, policy recommendations, program evaluation and planning, and facilities/space analysis and planning. The AGPA will also compile the San Francisco monthly and quarterly reports of Legal Support Operation's (LSO) key activities for the Staff Services Manager's review and approval. The AGPA is also responsible for analyzing budget and expenditure reports in the Accounting Information System and providing management with summaries of projected expenditures and adequacy for allocated funds; analyze and prepare documents for the budget preparation process, including the analysis of previous years expenditures and recommendations on projected expenditures. Develop and implement systems for tracking ongoing expense and budget review for the San Francisco office. Prepare written proposals and  justifications to the Staff Services Manager and LSO Chief for the acquisition of specific equipment; and research new, up-to-date technology, and provide written recommendations to  management.

The AGPA will act as the liaison between the Division of Operations (OPS)/LSO in San Francisco and the other Legal Divisions in tracking, processing and the resolution of concerns with regard to contracts and/or invoices. The incumbent will also act as the liaison to the Facilities Unit; conduct and coordinate office moves; maintain space allocation data and prepare space utilization reports for the Staff Services Manager, Office Management Committee,  and the Budgets Unit. Independently prepare sensitive and/-or confidential correspondence for the Staff Services Manager; gather data for and create office-wide email communications on  behalf of the Staff Services Manager; respond to inquiries from staff and the public; and coordinate high-profile meetings and special events.
