MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) – COLORADO DESERT DISTRICT/ PALOMAR MOUNTAIN STATE PARK
The reporting location for this position is Palomar Mountain State Park,19952 State Park Road, Palomar, CA. This position will work under the supervision of Park Maintenance Supervisor.
This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks. All projects must be pre-approved by the Park Maintenance Supervisor or the Park Maintenance Worker I. Park Maintenance Aids must be able to work safely and cooperatively with other Park staff. Projects may include: housekeeping, grounds keeping, building repair/reconstruction, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, roofing, painting, trail maintenance, and other skilled areas. Park Maintenance Aids may perform duties within the limits of their training and licensing.
This position is a skilled or unskilled position involved with maintenance services at Palomar Mountain State Park. The essential job functions of this position may include the use of hand or power tools, for which the Park Maintenance Aid has been trained and approved to use.
Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program. Applicants who receive State public assistance need to identify their status as a CalWORKS recipient in the comments area on the application. Applicants must submit a verification of their CalWORKS eligibility status, which may include the most recent Notice of Action showing TANF eligibility or a copy of your last aid check stub. If verification is not submitted with the application, the application will not be processed. (Applicants may obtain verification from the CalWORKS program).
