Job Description and Duties

Under the supervision of the Special Advisor, Member Experience, the College Corps Fellow Engagement Lead will support the design, planning, and implementation of the Statewide Cohort Experience. This person will be the chief architect and moderator of a virtual community platform hosted by California Volunteers to foster engagement and networking across the cohort of more than 3,000 College Corps Fellows enlisting this Fall. The Engagement Lead’s responsibilities will extend beyond the virtual space to real- world programming, event coordination, and partnership management to build a powerful statewide cohort experience.

Working Conditions

This position's location is not limited to Sacramento, California. California Volunteers' office is located in Sacramento. However, California Volunteers will accommodate applicants who wish to work remotely temporarily as a result of COVID-19.     About College Corps

    The #CaliforniansForAll College Corps will help create debt-free pathways to college while engaging students across the state in solving problems in their communities. This first of its kind initiative is being launched in partnership with 48 California colleges and universities. Over the next two years partner campuses will deploy more than 6,000 College Corps Fellows to tackle statewide challenges, and for the first time, we are proud to include AB 540 eligible Dreamers in a state service program. College Corps will provide full time undergraduate students with opportunities to support and learn from organizations working in three priority areas: K-12 Education, Climate Action and Food Insecurity. College Corps Fellows will receive $10,000 – including a stipend and an Education Award – as they contribute 450 hours of service over the academic year.

    Compensation and Benefits:
