Job Description and Duties

SENIOR MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL)/SIERRA DISTRICT/ DONNER MEMORIAL STATE PARK  


The reporting location for this position will be Donner Memorial State Park in Truckee, CA. Under the general direction and supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor and the leadership of permanent maintenance staff, the Senior Maintenance Aide is responsible to keep the area and facilities of the park and campground clean and orderly, to answer questions on rules and regulations for the public, and other related work. This position is a seasonal, unskilled position involved in facilities maintenance functions of the State Park System. The essential job functions of this position include maintenance services, visitor contact, resource protection and lead work.

The incumbent's work schedule will be from 0700 to 1530 five days per week but may work from 1300 to 2130 on weekends and holidays.


This Position requires a valid California Class C driver's license. Please provide proof of eligibility with application.

  

Proof of vaccination for Covid-19 or submission to weekly statewide testing program is required.

 

Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKS program.
