Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Staff Services Manager II, the Staff Services Manager I provides policy direction and bill analyses for the Department of Conservation, Natural Resources Agency, and Governor’s Office; coordinates responses to the Legislature and constituent inquiries; and advocates for the Department’s positions on bills as authorized by the Governor’s Office.

Working Conditions

Telework may be available for this position under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview, but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
