The Contract Analyst receives direction from the Procurement and Business Services Supervisor (SSM I) to independently perform the more technical and complex contracting functions. The incumbent must adhere to ethical practices in accordance with all applicable statutes, departmental policies and procedures, standards and controls, and rules pertaining to delegated purchasing authority approved through Department of General Services (DGS).

Working Conditions

Hybrid: this position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule and requires reporting in-person at headquarters in Sacramento four times a week.

Describe your ability or experience to communicate effectively and establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with executive and    departmental staff, members of the public, and other governmental agencies.

Describe your institutional knowledge of procuring goods and services. Include your knowledge or experience with FI$Cal, California State Contract Manual, California Contract Laws, procurement standard forms (STDs) LPA’s and Cal- Card, or other procurement systems.

Describe a time in which you took a complex project problem or issue, analyzed and researched the issues, made recommendations to management, and the subsequent outcome(s) of your efforts.
