Job Description and Duties

The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration is a fast-paced and unique department that collects more than $90 billion for California to reinvest in our communities. We’re looking for talented people to help tell our story. Our Office of Public Affairs is searching for dynamic candidates with strong communication and writing skills to develop media strategies and coordinate engaging internal and external communication efforts. Our Information Officers develop multi-faceted media and public relations campaigns to inform the public, and they design fresh, entertaining internal communications campaigns for #TeamCDTFA. The Information Officer I performs a variety of assignments such as media and event planning, writing, and reporting and must be able to work under pressure, independently, and on a team; please see the duty statement for more details. The successful candidates must meet the minimum qualifications for an Information Officer I.

Working Conditions

  • Position is located in a high-rise building.
  • Telework is available up to fifty percent (50%) of the time.
