Job Description and Duties

Under direction of the Chief, Communications and External Affairs, the Associate Governmental Program Analyst is responsible for the development of legislative bill analyses for Energy Safety and for producing a variety of tasks associated with the legislative and regulatory matters that affect Energy Safety. The incumbent will either lead or act as lead in the research, tracking and analysis of legislative bills. The incumbent will provide technical assistance to the Legislature, the Legislative Analyst’s Office (LAO) and stakeholders.

The mission of the Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety ("Energy Safety") is to advance long-term utility wildfire safety by developing data-driven, comprehensive utility wildfire mitigation evaluation and compliance criteria, collaborating with local, state and federal agencies, and supporting efforts to improve utility wildfire safety culture and innovation.
