Job Description and Duties

Under direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the AGPA in the Agency & Statewide Project (ASP) unit supports RADD by consulting with teams and units on project initiation, reporting, work tracking, and portfolio management. The analyst will be expected to analyze project and outcomes and  processes and identify shared stakeholders across projects for meaningful insights, which will be used to drive action at a division level. The analyst will also be expected to attend Department and Agency meetings to identify enterprise-wide changes impacting RADD projects.

Working Conditions

Telework options are available. Centrally located in downtown Sacramento, the position offers great working environment, top producing staff, and ongoing professional development. Occasional travel may be required. This position is located in a high-rise building.

The California Department of Social Services (CDSS) launched the Research, Automation and Data Division (RADD) to build a sustainable data culture and maximize the full value of data assets through: Enterprise Data Asset Inventory, management, and data migration; Enterprise Road Map regarding Information Sharing Capability and Policies and Procedures; Training of Enterprise Data Workforce; and Enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management. RADD is responsible for working with Information Services (technology) and Program partners throughout the data life cycle to ensure best practices are elevated toward the goal of serving California's most vulnerable families using a human-centered and data-driven approach.

Training and Development assignments may be considered based on the availability of eligible candidates and are subject to approval by the Hiring Authority prior to appointment. Training and Development assignments are considered limited term, 12 months, and may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
