Job Description and Duties

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation is recruiting for one (1) limited-term, full-time Staff Services Analyst position in the Consumer Services Office. Position to be located in the Sacramento office. This recruitment may be used to fill subsequent vacancies of these positions within the next 180 days. These positions may become permanent.

Under the general supervision of the Consumer Services Manager, Staff Services Manager II, the Staff Services Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and processing consumer complaints and phone and email inquiries for the Consumer Services Office.

Working Conditions

The Sacramento office is located in north Natomas. The Natomas office offers FREE PARKING, is easily accessible from INTERSTATES 5 and 80, and is also close to various dining and shopping choices in the Natomas area.

Flexible telework is allowable for this position.

 

After 90 days, a hybrid schedule may be allowable based on operational needs for employees who can perform their essential functions remotely and/or whose duties are conducive to teleworking per DPFI's Telework Policy and in accordance with Government Code Sections 14200 – 14203 for employees residing in California.

Department Information

The Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) protects consumers and oversees financial service providers and products. The DFPI supervises the operations of state-licensed financial institutions, including banks, credit unions and money transmitters. Additionally, the DFPI licenses and regulates a variety of financial service providers, including securities brokers and dealers, investment advisers, payday lenders and other consumer finance lenders.
