Job Description and Duties

The Place-Based Incentives Specialist will receive general direction from the Assistant Deputy Director of the Business Investment Services Unit (CalBIS) and general program direction from the  Community and Place -Based Solutions (CBPS) Supervisor and from the Senior Advisor of Business Development. This position exercises a high level of independence and serves as a subject matter expert performing duties that are highly sensitive and difficult in nature to implement opportunities presented by the federal and state place-based programs which include, but are not limited to, Opportunity Zones, Promise Zones, among other place-based incentive programs. 30% or more travel required.

Working Conditions

Remote: this position is eligible for a full-time telework schedule under Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California but may require reporting in-person at headquarters in Sacramento upon request.  #li-remote
