Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) for the Office of Special Investigations. A Staff Services Analyst (SSA) may be considered. This position reports directly to the Supervising Special Investigator I. This position is subject to budget approval.
The AGPA/SSA will have lead and full responsibility for providing training, consultation, and interpretation of investigation reporting requirements for patient complaints and/or allegations of abuse or neglect. Responsible for monitoring the nature, disposition, and corrective actions in relation to special investigations. Provides periodic reports to the Department of State Hospitals - Sacramento, Office of Law Enforcement Support (OLES) and other agencies/stakeholders. Maintains confidentiality at all times. Identifies trends and deficiencies involving the area of work to which assigned. Develops, maintains, and monitors Citizen's Complaints database to ensure compliance with the mandated timelines for responses as per the Penal Code and the recommendation from OLES.
Typical tasks include but are not limited to: apply State laws, rules, and regulations, applying and complying with bargaining unit contracts, OLES requirements, and DSH-Patton policy. Knowledge and expertise in working with various computer systems such as Word, Excel, and Access are highly desirable.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. This will include good spelling and grammar skills. The candidate must have the ability to interact with others in a professional fashion, even when under time constraints and other pressures. The candidate must be able to create and maintain effective databases for the tracking and analysis of reports and other time sensitive documents/processes. The successful candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and must be highly reliable regarding accuracy of work, time management, and consistent attendance.
