Our department develops, maintains and operates FI$Cal, the statewide financial system. The FI$Cal system modernized how the state of California manages its finances and is one of the largest and most dynamic IT and business-transformation undertakings in California’s history. It eliminates the need for hundreds of independent legacy systems by combining the state’s accounting, budgeting, cash management, and procurement operations into a single financial-management system.

The Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office is dedicated to promoting the department’s EEO program and providing an environment that is free from discrimination and harassment. Within the EEO Office resides the EEO Officer who serves as a key advisor and resource to departmental management regarding EEO and workforce diversity laws and rules. The EEO Officer develops, implements, coordinates, and monitors the Department’s EEO program in addition to other EEO related duties.
