In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Working knowledge of various state and federal permitting processes related to Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreements (LSAA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), Natural Community Conservation Planning (NCCP), and California Endangered Species Act (CESA).
Experience in:
- Wildlife, fisheries, or conservation biology
- Wildlife permitting
- Wildlife monitoring
Special Personal Characteristics: Demonstrated ability to act independently and take direction, lead, and work well in a team setting.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills; high degree of personal initiative, environmental and work ethic, and team orientation; ability to work cooperatively with other CDFW staff and state, federal, and non-governmental organization partners; communicate effectively, respectfully, and positively with superiors and all coworkers and external partners.
