In addition to State Application STD 678, Statement of Qualification (SOQ) is required. Each question must be numbered and addressed in the same order as the questions below. The SOQ must be typed, no more than two pages in length, and 12-point Arial font. Failure to include and complete the SOQ as instructed may result in the SOQ not being considered and in disqualification:
1. Experience in evaluating project PS&E documents, contract change orders and analyzing difficult engineering issues to make sound judgment.
2. Field construction and contract administration experience.
3. Experience in taking initiative and ownership of projects, training others, assisting professional engineering staff. Cite specific details.
4. Explain how you use effective oral and written communication skills at work. Recount at least two (2) work situations where your effective communication skills solved problems quickly.
5. Discuss your work organizational skills relating to time management, deadlines, and prioritization of work assignments.
Possession
of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or
appointment. If you are basing your eligibility on education, you must
include your unofficial transcript(s)/diploma for verification.
Unofficial, original, or official sealed transcripts will be accepted and
may be required upon appointment. Applicants with foreign

evaluation that indicates the number of units and degree to which the foreign
