A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and serves as documentation of your qualifications for this position. The SOQ must be no more than two (2) pages typed, with 1 inch margins, in size 12-point Arial font and must address the specific prompts listed below. The SOQ must be numbered, well-organized, and provide detailed examples of your experience. Applications submitted without an SOQ will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed.
1. Tell us about a time you gathered, tabulated, and analyzed licensing data to produce monthly or comparative reports for management. What tools, methods, or visualizations did you use? How did your analysis inform program decisions?
2. Describe your experience preparing, coordinating, or monitoring contracts, purchase requests, or solicitations. Include your role in ensuring compliance with applicable State laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, such as SAM, DGS, or departmental procurement guidelines. Provide an example that demonstrates your ability to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to requirements.
3. Briefly describe your experience reviewing license or permit applications to ensure they meet applicable laws, regulations, and program requirements. Include an example of how you identified deficiencies, communicated required corrections, and handled situations where an application could not be approved, including how you documented and communicated the denial decision.
