In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
The incumbent must possess good communication skills, use good judgment in decision-making, exercise creativity and flexibility in problem identification and resolution, manage time and resources effectively, and be responsive to Board management needs. The incumbent must also use strong interpersonal skills to support the achievement of the goals and objectives of the Executive Officer and the Board and maintain good working relationships with staff and management.
All applicants must submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ), a Cover letter, and a Resume. The SOQ and Cover Letter are screening tools to assess writing, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Incomplete, missing, or improperly formatted SOQs may result in disqualification.
We ask that you not use Artificial Intelligence assistance when composing your written response. Written responses are an attempt to assess and gain an understanding of your personal writing and communication skills and abilities.
The Cover Letter must address the question: If you were at a business lunch and ordered a rare steak, but were brought a well-done steak instead, what would you do and why?
The SOQ must be no more than two single-spaced pages in Bradley Hand ITC, 12-point font with 1-inch margins. Include the position number in the upper left corner and the page number in the lower left corner of each page. Center the title “Statement of Qualifications” on the first page only. Address the questions in the order listed, and clearly label each response with the corresponding question title.
1. Describe your experience conducting analytical work in support of enforcement or regulatory compliance activities.
2. On a scale of 1 to 5, rate your proficiency in creating written work without the use of artificial intelligence. Justify your rating.
3. Describe your work ethic and how it can be an asset to the Board.
