OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING)(PERMANENT INTERMITTENT) – SAN LUIS OBISPO COAST DISTRICT / ADMIN SERVICES / MORRO BAY STATE PARK
The reporting location for this position is the Morro Bay Sector Office at Morro Bay State Park. This position works under the direction of the Supervisor I.
Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the incumbent performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative support duties for the District that require a high degree of initiative and judgement. The position provides administrative support for procurement, accounting, budgeting, contracts, travel, purchasing, and other office duties in support of Coastal Sector operations, including the Natural Resources Program. The incumbent utilizes various computer applications to process financial and administrative documents, maintain records, prepare reports, and assist staff in complying with Department policies and established procedures. This position also serves as a primary point of contact for visitors by providing information regarding camping reservations, park operations, and general inquiries while delivering professional customer service and supporting the daily operations of the Morro Bay Sector Office.
This position is permanent intermittent and limited to 1500 hours of work per year.
Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute and provide a valid typing certificate prior to appointment.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as not telework eligible.
This position requires a valid Class C driver’s license. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
