In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
2+ Years of Journey-level maintenance experience performing maintenance and repair of hydraulic turbines, pumps and generators; auxiliary equipment including, but not limited to, air compressors, auxiliary generators (gasoline, diesel, and L.P. gas), sewage ejectors, governors, intakes, hydraulic power units, high and low pressure water, oil, air and grease systems, cranes, hoists, and gates at any of the following facilities: Commercial Fossil/Hydro/Nuclear Utility or Pumped storage OR Military/Naval/Merchant Marine steam propulsion/generating plant. Completion of Accredited Apprenticeship/- HEP Mechanic, Millwright or Machinist. Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting mechanical equipment including but not limited to air, oil, water, hydraulic systems using blueprints, drawings, piping diagrams, manufacturer's instruction books, and written procedures at a Hydro Generation plant or similar. 4+ Years Experience Welding, Fabrication, Machining, and Pipe fitting. Possesses knowledge and ability to take critical precise measurements using precision measuring equipment used for precision alignment, machining, and component dimensioning. Strong communication, leadership, problem solving skills, and interpersonal skills.
