OFFICE TECHNICIAN (TYPING) – OCEANO DUNES DISTRICT / ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES / DISTRICT OFFICE
Come join the State Parks Oceano Dunes team in beautiful Oceano and Pismo State Beach! The reporting location for this position is at 340 James Way, Ste 270, Pismo Beach, CA 93449. The Office Technician (Typing) (OT) will work under the direct supervision of the Administrative Officer I, with guidance from the District Administrative Chief (DAC), a Supervisor II. The incumbent will work with a variety of District program supervisors and will collaborate with the Business Management Section (BMS) Contracts Lead Analyst II and the BMS IT Procurement Lead Analyst (Analyst I) to perform administrative support tasks. The incumbent will prepare, review, and file documents required for various types of District contracts, procurement, accounting, and resource management. The incumbent will work directly in the State's financial database, Fi$Cal, to perform data entry and assist in reconciliation efforts for BMS support services. This position also supports the Administration program through the collection of revenue (ticket sales) and by providing office support, including a variety of clerical tasks and office receptionist duties.
This position will be required to demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills with Headquarters, District, and field staff, as well as the public. This position will be required to demonstrate high organizational skills with great attention to detail.
The typical schedule for this position is 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and weekends.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.
Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license is required. You must answer the questions addressing your driver’s license on your application. Ensure you provide your driver’s license number, class, expiration date, and any endorsements and/or restrictions on your application.
