The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for a highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the Product Development Division (PDD) in the ITB of EDD.
The Information Technology Specialist I (ITS I) is a multi-faceted position that will provide technical services, operational support, and analyze department Operations Architecture within support of the highly complex multi-tiered/multi-layered Unemployment Insurance Online (UIO) application. Under the direction of the IT Supervisor II in the UI Online Operations Group, the ITS I is responsible for providing support to state and vendor staff of medium and large complex operation projects. The incumbent is responsible for the long term and short-term UI Online technical implementations, support of maintenance and operation deployments for the UI Online applications as well as support of environments, sensitive and confidential data management, MACRO support, Operations Systems analysis. The ITS I will ensure EDD customer needs are met, that systems are high quality, efficient, and maintained in Service Level Agreements (SLA) compliance with the Division standards for documentation and performance. This position performs complex operations tasks and activities for the UIO system including, but not limited to development, environment support, build deployments, version control, support for production and non-production environments using triaging, monitoring production batch processes, external interface file transfers, and data validation. This operations role also supports the UIO for interfaces, Web services, .NET, and other interface support as required.
