In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
• Strong knowledge of health care service plan programs and trends
• Background specialty in the health care industry and experience with implementation of a major program
• Managerial and leadership experience with ability to manage and supervise a team of ten attorneys working on multiple projects
• Experience and ability to serve as advisor providing high level consultation or recommendations to management
• Strong knowledge of data collection, data analysis, and reporting
• Ability to provide leadership and assistance in developing and implementing new policies and procedures and the ability to adjust to shifting priorities and meet state deadlines
• Exercise a high degree of initiative, and confidentiality
• Ability to work independently, as well as cooperatively and effectively with others
• Ability to professionally communicate both orally and in writing
• Ability to organize and establish simultaneous workload priorities and work under pressure
• Ability to reason well and use good judgment in following established program procedures
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload when needed and handle personnel issues
