Job Description and Duties

Under the close direction and guidance of the SSM II, the incumbent is responsible for performing clerical duties for the procurements sections.  The below activities are performed for both the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and the California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA), duties include but are not limited to the following:

Intake processing for requests for services and/or goods purchases.  This includes inputting information in various databases, sending email confirmations, creating requisitions in the Financial Information System for California (Fi$Cal), routing documents to responsible parties, and preparing packages upon assignment to contracts and procurement analysts.

Close-out of contracts and procurements upon execution.

Reconciliation of contract and procurement information to various databases with physical files.

Ensuring proper records retention and reviewing each file for accuracy and completeness prior to filing.

Preparation of various data tracking reports.

Delivery of contract and procurement requests to the Department of General Services.

Responsible for maintaining and ordering general office supplies.

This position is Limited Term for 12 months, which may be extended to 24 months or may become permananent.

Department Information

The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is located in the beautiful CalEPA building in downtown Sacramento.  We are located close to light rail and parking garages/lots.  The building includes Golden 1 ATM access, an exercise room, a cafeteria, and an onsite daycare facility.  We are within walking distance to many restaurants and the seasonal farmers’ market in Cesar Chavez Plaza.

Special Requirements

This is a Limited Term Full Time position.  In order to be considered for this position, you must indicate "Limited Tem Full Time" and "Sacramento County" in your Employment Preferences in your CalCareer Account.

The position(s) requires the ability to type at a minimum speed of 40 words per minute. You must obtain a valid typing certificate to be hired for this position. The required typing speed must be achieved on the typing test prior to being hired.
