Job Description and Duties

The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) is seeking a highly motivated individual who has strong administrative and executive support, event planning, and writing skills to join our dedicated team as Administrative Analyst. The reporting location for the Staff Services Analyst (SSA) position is at the Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC or Department) headquarters office in Auburn. Under supervision, the SSA performs work of average difficulty in a wide variety of consultative and analytical staff services assignments. The Administrative Analyst will provide analytical and planning support to the Governing Board and Executive Office, and will also assist, as needed, in planning and conducting Regional events with program teams. Intermittent travel throughout the 25-million-acre Sierra Nevada Region will be required.

Working Conditions

The duties of this position are performed primarly indoors in a modern office environment. The incumbent’s workstation is located at SNC Headquarters office and is equipped with standard or ergonomic office equipment, as appropriate. Prolonged sitting and use of personal computer and telecommunications equipment are required. Incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines. Travel to area sites will require driving or riding in vehicles and may result in walking on uneven terrain and/or working in inclement weather conditions.

Department Information

The Sierra Nevada Conservancy (SNC) is a state agency whose mission is to improve the environmental, economic, and social well-being of the 25-million-acre Sierra Nevada Region. The SNC leads the Sierra Nevada Watershed Improvement Program (WIP), a large-scale restoration program designed to restore the health of California’s primary watershed and create resilient Sierra Nevada communities. The Sierra Nevada Region spans 25 million acres, encompasses all or part of 22 counties, and runs from the Oregon border on the north to Kern County on the south. The Region is the origin of more than 60 percent of California’s developed water supply.
