Working Conditions

  • Travel Requirements:
    • Travels locally to attend meetings, trainings, and seminars up to 10% of the time
  • Core Business Hours ae Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. The incumbent may be required to work outside of standard business hours
  • Requires working in a high-rise office building
  • May require rotating 24x7 on-call support responsibility as well as weekend and holiday support

Department Information

Mission Statement: The Delta Reform Act of 2009 created the Delta Stewardship Council. The mission of the Council is to achieve the coequal goals of "...providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting restoring and enhancing the Delta ecosystem... in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place" (CA Water Code SS 85054). To do this, the Council developed the Delta Plan, which is an enforceable long-term sustainable management plan for the Delta to ensure coordinated action at the federal, state, and local levels.

  • Experience and working knowledge of computers, especially in data extract and reporting software.
  • Strong knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Knowledge or experience working with Azure, Amazon Web Services, or other cloud environments
  • Knowledge or experience working with .NET, PHP, other scripting languages
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure including network or server administration
