Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Chief Information Officer, t
he IT Supervisor II will oversee CALPIA’s web content, Salesforce and IT project management personnel. The incumbent will ensure that CALPIA is maximizing efficiency and capitalizing on the full features and benefits of the Salesforce software system based on the various user group needs. The incumbent will need excellent technical and communication skills that can interface directly with internal stakeholders to understand their needs in order to administer and enhance the system accordingly. This position will serve as the management lead for the Salesforce application, promote user adoption, keep current on new releases and AppExchange solutions, provide training plans, and more. Incumbent will have a working knowledge of various project management methodologies such as Waterfall, Kanban and Scrum.

Special Requirements

Employees new to CALPIA will be required to attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) prior to starting work within an institution or Central Office. NEO is four days (32 hours), and will be conducted at the Green Valley Training Center in Folsom, CA. Any questions or concerns regarding NEO training can be addressed during the interview process.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
  • 5+ years experience as an administrator on the Salesforce platform.
  • 5+ years experience in business analysis directly related to Software as a Service (SaaS).
  • 5+ years working with various stakeholder groups and delivering presentations and proposals to Executive Leadership level.
  • 3+ years of successful personnel management.
  • Currently active Salesforce Administrator Certification. Advanced Administrator Certification is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Waterfall, Kanban and Scrum project management methodologies.

STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS:


The Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) must be submitted on a separate piece of paper, no more than two pages, single spaced. Your SOQ must be titled "Statement of Qualifications,” contain the following questions, and include your response to each question in order.

  1. Describe the most challenging and complex Salesforce implementation you have led. Please include how the solution was developed and what other resources (people or tools) were involved to successfully deploy the product.
  2. Describe a Salesforce best practice you discovered through error or mistake. Explain how you have incorporated that best practice into your current method of administration on the platform.
  3. Describe your knowledge of the following project management frameworks: Waterfall, Scrum and Kanban. Give an example of your experience with each of these project execution frameworks.
  4. Describe one skill you bring to the table that you feel would be valuable to the role but that is not listed as a job requirement.
  5. In less than 10 words, describe your management style.
