As a Digital Automation Outreach Specialist, you will . . .

  • Work directly with the Marketing Division and external vendors to configure and integrate Covered California's marketing automation platform, Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Optimize automated and ad hoc emails and SMS campaigns including standardizing templates, setup, testing, scheduling and tracking to improve consumer communication.
  • Performs diagnostic and descriptive analytics and presents outreach and other marketing insights for internal and external partnership.
  • Recommends, develops and implements strategic direction for reports, dashboards, and support information utilizing data visualization tools such as Tableau.

This position is located in Sacramento County, but full-time or near full-time remote work is likely during COVID-19 pandemic emergency response efforts and may be possible in the post COVID-19 pandemic environment.

Desirable Qualifications

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
  1. Experience deploying, monitoring and reporting web tracking technology.
  2. Experience authoring SQL select queries and applying experience with custom data objects, dynamic content, responsive templates and A/B testing.
  3. Experience with agile methodology for application development.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner; review, edit, evaluate, and prepare written documents to produce quality products; develop and conduct IT training; develop cooperative working relationships; and deal effectively with a variety of individuals, organizations, state agencies, local government, and contractors within a fast-paced environment.
  5. Experience with tag management systems (Google Tag Manager, Adobe Tag Manager, etc.) and hands-on experience creating, deploying, and maintaining tags on websites,
  6. Experience with HTML and JavaScript, particularly with testing and troubleshooting code used to create tags.
  7. Knowledge of tracking methods including pushing data layer events and DOM scraping.
  8. Knowledge of analytic platform integrations with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
