Job Description and Duties

The Health Program Specialist (HPS) I functions as a highly skilled, technical program consultant and works collaboratively with the HPS II to coordinate all Department-related Accreditation and Organizational Performance Management activities.

OPDE has an immediate opening for a Health Program Specialist (HPS) I in our Sacramento Office with full-time teleworking available. Under the direction of the Deputy Director, the HPS I supports CDPH’s Organizational Performance Management and Accreditation programs and helps solve some of public health’s most pressing problems.

• Collaborate with a high functioning production team.
• Provide training and support for the development of Department and program performance measures.
• Support CDPH and Local Health Jurisdiction (LHJ) Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) Accreditation.
