• Familiarity and/or experience with local government in California.
• Lived experience within the juvenile care continuum.
• Knowledge of evidence based and promising practices for trauma responsive, culturally respectful, and gender responsive services for youth involved in the justice system.
• Knowledge of innovative community-based solutions and programs for youth involved in the justice system including pre-arrest diversion models in the assigned county and adjacent counties.
• Ability to foster collaboration, mutual respect, and teamwork.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a well-organized, accurate, clear and concise manner.
• Ability to research, develop and evaluate alternatives; analyze data and present ideas and information effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and effective editing skills; competent with MS Office.
• Ability to maintain poise and good humor while working in a time-sensitive and results-oriented environment.
• Experience/expertise with Native American youth and/or Native American Tribal Courts, Justice System, and programs.
